Overview

Continuing the successful collaboration with Owen Barnes, we tackled ETHWarsaw with the goal of creating something unique that bridges music and blockchain technology.

The Challenge

How can we transform abstract blockchain data into something tangible and emotionally engaging? We wanted to turn users' onchain activities into a personalized musical experience.

The Solution

BaseDrum! - A Base Mini App that generates personalized techno tracks using ToneJS and blockchain data. The app analyzes users' transaction history, token holdings, current ETH prices, and Base network activity to create unique musical compositions. Each user's onchain story becomes a musical ballad reflecting their Web3 journey.

BaseDrum! allows users to mint their generated tracks as NFTs that can be listened to and shared directly from the mini app. The social element extends further - users can remix each other's tracks, creating a collaborative musical ecosystem based on onchain activity.

The project showcases how creative applications can make blockchain technology more accessible and emotionally resonant, turning cold transaction data into warm, personal musical experiences.

Outcome

Won first place in the Best Mini App on Base bounty. The project successfully demonstrated how blockchain data can be transformed into creative, personal experiences that users want to share and collect.
